Bug Week August 2019

We loved getting bugged this week! The fossils were great fun for most of the kids. They couldn’t wait to choose a bug or squeeze the dough, but it took everything Zacharias had to allow me to press his hand down into his dough. He was certain that spider was real! Ha! Yesterday was the big reveal to see them all shiny and hardened. “Oooh, these are buggin’ me!”

The caterpillars were so fun! It was great to see how many kids could actually spell their names correctly. They are all learning to master that pair of scissors, too! We also learned about cocoons and butterflies. And what cute caterpillars they all were! I had so much fun hugging each one as they went out the door, changing the norm to,  “See you later, caterpillars!” Brigdon giggled shouting back, “You’re a caterpillar!” No, you are!
