Blue Week September 2019

We had a great Blue Week. Ask your

child to spell blue. We had many that

did so on Thursday, after singing our

blue song all week.

We had great fun building and sailing our boats, blowing them across the water. Very fun! The painted ships were great! The children did a wonderful job on the ocean waves and clouds, too. Look at your child’s name on the back under the one I wrote for them to mimic. Their names are improving daily. Good job! Keep up the good work!

We also had great fun with the shark hats and singing the Baby Shark song

Little RED Hen Week

Red Week! We twirled in our red as we sang and spelled out R-E-D. What’s red? Fire trucks, stop signs! Ellie’s response, “ When you cut off your arm, there’s blood!” Yeah! That’s red!
We had such fun learning about being good helpers with the Little Red Hen story. We held wheat in our hands, we saw it grind into flour. We each had a turn to add an ingredient to make the bread. What good helpers! We donned our bibs and oiled our hands to shape our blobs of dough. Anson, “Look! I’m doing it!” Brooks, “Mine is like a hot dog!” Hurry! Put it in your pan! We need to bake them! No! You can’t keep twisting it or making a snake! Put it in! Put it in! Pat it! Say, “Goodbye!”
They’re growing! The dough is getting bigger! We read the story. Then, the bread was done. It smelled so good! We sliced some up! It WAS good! Andie, “I want more!” So fun! When school was done, I put my feet up and ate my whole loaf! Hope you enjoyed yours, too!

Our apple rectangle masterpieces turned out beautifully. “Cover all the white places! More rectangles! More rectangles! Do you see any more white? Cover it! Get it all!” And they did! So great! A wonderful exercise in vision awareness and thoroughness!
