Mothers Week Surprises!

Happy Mother’s Day! This is a spoiler alert. If you have not had a chance to read your Mother’s Day flower booklet, please do before reading this email.
Here are some must mentions from that booklet:
My mom is as beautiful as a tiger; as a cheetah; as a flamingo; as  the grass. Miles said, “My mother is way prettier than anything!”
My mom gets mad when I scream; when we don’t clean; when I call her bad names like “poopie”! My mom never gets mad.
My mom teaches me to go to bed; to juggle lemons; to do cartwheels. She teaches me NOTHING!
My mom always says “NO!” My mom always says,”Get ready fast! Get in the car!” My mom always says, “Adelle!!!”
My mom loves it when I’m being so hungry! When she has chocolate! When I do toys.
If I had a lot of money, I would buy my mom a puff to puff her face. A pink one. I would buy her 4-20 hours! I would buy her skittles, TWO PACKS! I would buy her a unicorn stuffy! I would buy her a raker…what rakes leaves, but I already have a lot of money! I would buy her make up. She needs some!
I am proud of my mom when she plays Barbies with me; when she cleans my room; when she buys me stuff.
My mom makes the best oatmeal, and put some sprinkles on top! She makes the best Spiderman soup! She makes the best cereal, Lucky Charms. She pours the milk really good! My mom makes the best green eggs!
Hattie took charge of a ‘kitty game’ during recess then came to give us her report. “The kitty problem is all controlled! They were being kitties and I rubbed their heads and now it’s good! Mrs. McClure, pet my hair whenever you want!” Life is going to be very dull for me soon, without the games of a 4 year old!!!

Our reading program has come to a close. It ended with a bang! So impressed with all of these excellent readers! We will announce them on Wednesday. Please return any reading books borrowed, if you still have a few stragglers left at home. Thank you. One last day with backpacks! Ha!
I am so excited about our program on Wednesday. Be sure to have your child’s shirt found, clean and ready to wear that day. Any pants or skirt is fine. We will finish up this froggy year in a fashionable way! Please have your child at the church on Harris and Bates at 9:00. No pony or pig tails, please. And, please be punctual. There are several things we need to do together with both classes to be ready for the program at 10:00. Thank you, Afternoon parents for all the help and food. You are awesome! It’s going to be so great! Can’t wait!
Much love to all,
Mrs. McClure
Miss Sarah
Miss Sherri
