With Halloween in full swing, we have reveled in all of the fun songs. I hope you are getting a little piece of them at home. They are so fun…and scary! Ahhhh!
Of course, all of this scary fun can not go on without a little truth talk about floating ghosts that say, “Boo” and witches on brooms as being make-believe “just for fun!” During our discussion, Adelle piped up, “But giraffes are real!” Thank goodness I didn’t shatter her dreams about giraffes! Ha!
We practiced our #6 poem and spelled and twirled in our whites. Learning letter Gg was great, knowing how afraid he is of goblins and ghosts! Golly! Please help your child review these letters in our book and the upcoming ones on our calendar. I can tell from the children’s grasp of these letter-sound concepts in class, which ones are taking advantage of this. It helps so much.
We found lots of Gg words. I laughed out loud when Smith suggested, “Gross!” “Yes! That’s a good one, but it’s gross!” Ha!
We had fun making with our scary projects. “You can hang this up and scare everyone! Bwah-ha ha ha!” And we examined our own collar bones, our fingers and ribs as we spoke about skeletons. I thought their Q-tip masterpieces were adorable!
We sure love your kids.
